At the halfway mark of National Novel Writing Month, we have great conversation with author and writing teacher Roger D. Colby. Roger teaches writing and literature at Norman High School and is the author of six science-fiction novels and a ton of short stories and poetry. He also hosts a couple of podcasts that we talk about on the show. You can connect with Roger and find all of his work at rogerdcolby.com.
Our conversation ranges from Roger's work and process to tips for writers to the worst movie he's ever seen. It's a fun, informative, and encouraging interview that I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Our review for this episode comes from Laurie Ward, reviewing Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom. Laurie's newly released first novel - The Book of Life: Part One - just released and she is hard at work on Part Two, which will release in early 2022. In addition to her work as a writer, Laurie can be found hiking trails, kayaking, quilting with her mom on Zoom, painting, drawing, cheering on her daughter at the soccer field, or cozied up on the couch watching the latest documentary with her husband. Laurie is a transplanted Okie, now living in North Carolina, but still faithful to her Sooners.
In addition to our conversation and review, this episode includes an update about our NANOWRIMO social media contests.
